247 UrFU Students and Postgraduates Awarded Certificates as Scholarship Holders

Recipients of the Presidential, Government of Russia, Priority and Personal Scholarships of Dmitry Likhachev, Yegor Gaidar and Kamil Valiev received their certificates at the award ceremony held at the Ural Federal University on April 15.

“You are the best of the best, and today we honor you. Your constant pursuit of self-improvement and academic success does not go unnoticed, and we are proud to have you as part of our university community. You prove it by example”, said Victor Koksharov, Rector of UrFU.

At once, 13 students received two or more personal scholarships – they were presented with certificates by Victor Koksharov. Maxim Gerasimov, a second-year Master’s student at the Institute of Physics and Technology, became this year’s record holder. He received five personal scholarships and an increased scholarship from UrFU for achievements in research activities.

“I am a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship, the Scholarship of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation for Priority Areas, the K.A. Valiev Scholarship, and the Scholarship of the Potanin Foundation. The secret of success is to try, not to be afraid: it’s not as difficult as it seemed before”, Maxim said.

A total of 247 undergraduate and graduate students received personal scholarship certificates. They were awarded and congratulated by the directors of the institutes and the Vice Rector for Research of the university Alexander Germanenko.
