IGNOU hold remedial teaching for militancy infested Youth

Doda: IGNOU has revisted its vision of reacing the unreached. IGNOU Special study centre 1264 D Bhalessa located in a militancy infested area of Bhalessa in collaboration with G R Azad college of Education Bhalessa run by an NGO NSWA (Regd) held remedial teaching Programme apart from routine counseling sessions at the centre premises to give boast to the teaching and learning process. The centre organized 10 day long camp on quality education at door steps" to make the stake holders abreast of the quality landscape of this internationally recognized University IGNOU. However, The centre has got 600 students enrolled in various streams. The committee on Quality assessment and assurance was setup with Sh. BA Malik as its Convenor, Mr. Firdous Malik as Director, Ishrit Ali, Sanjay Kumar, Naseer Ahmed Batt, Bharat Bhushan, Mohd. Ashraf Nirwani, Liaket Azad, Sarfaraz Batt, Dal singh Sharma, Mehjoor Malik, Fatima Banoo, were nominated as members of the academic committee. Mr. Sadaket Malik, coordinator I/c of the centre said that the centre has been galvanized by the local populace and academic for a for its qualitative improvement. He added that the centre has been setup in 2006 in which a lot of door to door "Taleemi Baidari" Programme was initiated to provide the people of this otherwise area access to higher learning. He said that IGNOU is not only best for those who has missed the bus but for those also who want to ride multiple buses simultaneously.
The academic committee appreciated the Regional Director IGNOU Jammu sh. K K Bhat for his full cooperation in providing education to the needy masses of this area.
