Mother Theresa Institute of Health Sciences (MTIHS), Puducherry has invited applications for admission to following PG, PBBSc (Nursing) and BPharm (Lateral Entry Course) courses of Academic Year 2012-13.

Courses & Eligibility:
(I) PG Degree Courses:
MSc (Nursing):
The candidates applying for admission to MSc (Nursing) course should have qualified with the degree of Basic BSc (Nursing) / PBBSc (Nursing) of Pondicherry University or the degree of any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by the Pondicherry University. Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST) in the BSc (Nursing) / PBBSc (Nursing) course with minimum duration of 4 years / 2 years respectively in the Indian Nursing Council recognized institution. The candidate should be the Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife of any State Nursing Council with one year work experience after registration in the Nursing Council as on 31st July of year of admission. The candidates should re-register with Tamil Nadu Nurses & Midwives Council if they had registered with any Nursing Council of Other States

MPharm (Pharmacy):       
The candidates applying for admission to MPharm course should have passed BPharm with minimum 55% of marks (over all) from any recognized College / University approved by the PCI & AICTE.

MPT (Physiotherapy):
The candidates applying for admission to MPT course should have qualified with the degree of Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) of Pondicherry University or the degree of any other University recognized as equivalent thereto by the Pondicherry University. Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course of minimum duration of 3 years of study and 6 months of compulsory rotatory internship.

(II) UG Degree Courses:
PBBSc (Nsg):
Candidates who have passed the Diploma in General Nursing and midwives with 50% of marks in aggregate, two years experience and registered in Tamilnadu Nurses and midwives council are eligible for admission to Post Basic BSc, (Nursing) course.

BPharm (Lateral Entry):
Candidates, who have passed the Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from any Institute approved by PCI with 50% of marks in aggregate, completed the Hospital training and registered in any of the State Pharmacy council are eligible for admission to second year BPharm course.

Common Eligibility Criteria for PG & UG:
Age Limit:
There is no age limit for admission to PG Course and PBBSc (Nursing) Course. For BPharm (Lateral Entry) the upper age limit should not be more than 50 years as on 31st December 2011.

Nationality
A candidate seeking admission should be an Indian National. However, French Nationals residing in the Puducherry UT and covered by the terms of the Treaty of Cession shall be treated on par with Indian Nationals for the purpose of admission

Application Form and Information Brochure can be obtained either in person or by post from the Registrar, Mother Theresa Post-Graduate & Research Institute of Health Sciences, Indira Nagar, Gorimedu, Puducherry-605 006 on payment of Rs.750 (Rs. 350/- for SC / ST candidate on furnishing the requisite caste certificate) by crossed Demand Draft drawn in any Nationalised Bank on or after 18-07-2012 in favour of The Dean, Mother Theresa Post Graduate & Research Institute of Health Sciences, Puducherry, payable at Puducherry. If the applicant desire to receive the application form and information brochure by post, a selfaddressed envelope of size 30 x 12 cms, affixed with postage stamp for Rs. 40 should also be enclosed with the requisition alongwith the required payment by DD from any Nationalised Bank.

Application forms can also be downloaded and submitted along with crossed Demand Draft for the said amount drawn in favour of the Dean, Mother Theresa Post Graduate & Research Institute of Health Sciences payable at Puducherry. Filled in Applications for seeking admission should be sent with all necessary / requisite enclosures to The Dean, Mother Theresa Post Graduate & Research Institute of Health Sciences, Indira Nagar, Gorimedu, Puducherry- 605006, so as to reach latest by 10.08.2012 (Friday) before 5.00 pm.

Entrance Test for PG degree & PBBSc Course (MTIET-12) 2012-13:
The Entrance Test (MTIET-12) in the respective subjects will be conducted by the Institute on 18.08.2012 (Saturday) at 11.00 am in the campus of MTPG&RIHS, Puducherry.
