Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore has invited ONLINE applications for admission to the following Summer Programmes of Year 2012.
(a) School of Physics and Astrophysics at Kodaikanal Observatory, Kodaikanal (15 - 25 May 2012) (b) Internship Programme at Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore (15 May - 13 July 2012)
Eligibility Criteria : Qualifying Degree and subjects: * BSc : Mathematics/Physics * MSc / Integrated MSc : Applied Physics / Physics, Mathematics / Astronomy, Instrumentation, Optics * BE / BTech : Applied Physics / Engg Physics, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Radio Physics & Electronics, Photonics / Optics / Opto-electronics.
Upper age limit : 24 years, as on 9 April 2012
Students in the pre-final / final year of their degree programme are also eligible to apply. Candidates should have obtained 60% or more marks in the core subjects (from X standard).

Recommendation letter should be filled by the Head of the Department where the candidate is presently studying. The recommendation letter is strictly confidential and should be posted in a sealed cover so as to reach Board of Graduate Studies, Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore-560034 on or before 9 April 2012.
