Allotment of seats under 50% All India Quota for PG Medical and Dental courses will be done through online counseling (Online allotment process), this year . As per the Notice at http://mohfw.nic.in/showfile.php?lid=1052, the activities related to the All India PG Medical and Dental Counselling 2012-13, will commence on 1st May, 2012 with the activation of the facility for Main Counselling Registration, Choice filling and indicative seat allotment scheduled from 1st May, 2012 to 7th May, 2012.
Exercising of Choices and locking can be done between May 8th and May 10th. Process of first round of seat allotment will be taken up between 11th and 12th May and the first round allotment will be announced on 13th May, 2012. Reporting at the reporting centres as per the first allotment can be undertaken between 13th and 22nd May.
Process of second round of seat allotment will be taken up between 23rd and 24th May and the second round allotment will be announced on 25th May, 2012 with facility for reporting at the reporting centres as per the second allotment, available between 25th and 3rd June, 2012. Details related to the vacant seats will be published between June 4th and June 6th. Registration and Choice filling can be done by all eligible candidates between 7th and 9th June, 2012.
Process of third round of seat allotment will be taken up between 10th and 11th June, 2012 and the third round allotment will be published on 12th June, 2012. Candidates would be able to report at the reporting centres as per the third allotment, between 12th June and 21st June, 2012. Vacant seats under All India Quota will be transferred to the State Quota on 22nd June, 2012.
When candidates who have been allotted seats report at the Allotted Institute, the Original Certificates of candidates will be verified as per the requirements in the Prospectus. The documents include, Admit Card, Rank letter, MBBS/BDS Degree, High School Certificate for proof of date of birth, Certificate to prove completion of Internship, MCI/DCI Registration, Category and PH Certificates.
The data base of the candidate will be updated at this stage. This will include the category and also PH status. If the allotted seat is accepted, and the candidate does not opt for second round, Confirmed Admission Letter will be generated. If the candidate opts for second round, Provisional Admission Letter will be generated. If the allotted seat is cancelled, Cancellation letter will be generated. These activities will be repeated after the second round too. Candidates who have not been allotted any seat in the first and second rounds and candidates, who have given willingness to participate in the 3rd round either in 1st or 2nd round, will be considered for third round.
After the second round allotment, the newly added vacant seats as well as anticipated vacancies, that are likely to be available after the conversion of vacant seats in category/subcategory and upgradation of previously allotted seats with newly offered seats will be displayed. Earlier choices submitted by candidates will be treated as null and void. Submission of fresh choices for third round allotment is mandatory. Once choices are given they can be viewed, modified and finally locked as per the time schedule fixed for each activity. After the third allotment, those allotted seats will have to report to the allotted institute. Seats lying vacant after the third round will be transferred to the concerned states for state counselling.
