Institute for Intensive Research in Basic Sciences (IIRBS), Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam has invited for admission to Integrated Interdisciplinary PhD Programme of Academic Year 2012.
Area of Research: Interdisciplinary areas covering Sciences, Pharmaceutical- medicinal and Engineering.
Eligibility:
Candidates with Bachelor's degree in Chemistry / Physics / Biology / Mathematics / BE / BTech / BPharm / medical / paramedical sciences/ any Engineering or Science based bachelor's degree holders including agricultural sciences (with minimum 60% of marks) are eligible. The candidate should have done mathematics either in the +2 level or bachelors level as one of the subjects.
Mode of Selection: The selection is based on objective cum-comprehensive test followed by a research aptitude evaluation camp.
Fellowship:
Initial fellowship is an amount of Rs.6000/ month for the first two years and then Rs.10,000/ month from the third year onwards (or an amount equal to CSIR-UGC fellowship for research scholars).

Registration fee is Rs.600/- Relaxation for fee and admission may be as per University norms. SC / ST candidates need to pay only 50% of the registration fee.
