The result of 11th All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education has been declared today at 10.45 pm. This year, 11,37,256 candidates registered for Paper-I for B.E./B.Tech, out of which 10,61,854 candidates appeared and for Paper-ll for BArch/B.Planning 83,049 candidates registered out of which 71,316 candidates appeared.
The candidates are advised to see their all-India rank and State rank on the CBSE website i.e. www.cbse.nic.in or www.aieee.nic.in This year, the candidates of General category, OBC category, SC/ST category and Physically Handicapped candidates of all categories who obtained 48 marks, 45 marks, 18 marks and 18 marks respectively are declared eligible to fill in their choices for online counselling for B.E/B.Tech. and BArch/B.Planning which will be conducted by the Central Counselling Board-2012.

Over 11 lakh students have appeared in the AIEEE-2012 to seek admissions in country’s premium engineering institutes including National Institutes of Technology, IIITs, Deemed Universities, Technical Institutions, Delhi Technological University, Delhi and other government funded Institutions.
A Central Counseling Board (CCB) constituted by the Govt. of India coordinates admissions to UG degree programmes in engineering, technology and architecture in respect of select institutions. This year's CCB has been constituted with Director, National Institute of Technology Rourkela, as its Chairman.
30 NITs, 5 IIITs/IIITM/IIITDM, 13 Central/State Government funded institutions and 45 Self Financed Institutes will admit candidates on the basis of their performance in AIEEE-2012, to the first year of Engineering/Technology and Architecture/ Planning programmes through a centralized counseling procedure, for the academic session 2012-13.
