Bhubaneswar:  : The top-ten talents of the recently concluded third Odissi International, were announced here today.
“The festival which was conceptualized as an annual union of the global Odissi family in the land of Odissi, introduced a talent-search segment this year to discover and nurture young talents”, said Shyamhari Chakra, director of the festival.
The top-ten talents in the senior group (age group 21 to 30) are Anjelina Ukhanova (Russia), Dibyashree Panda (Suravi Odissi Academy, Bhubaneswar), Vrinda Rani (Russia), Natalie Raut (UK), Lopamudra Jena (Gunjan Dance Academy, Cuttack), Rashmi Ranjan Barik (Rudrakshya Odissi Foundation, Bhubaneswar), Mitali Giri (Odisha Dance Academy, Bhubaneswar), Pompi Paul (Kolkata), Taissia Sphulnikova (Russia) and Manisha Manaswini (Rudrakshya Foundation, Bhubaneswar).
Similarly, the winners of the top-ten-talents titles in junior group (age group 11 to 20) are, Preetisha Mohapatra (Srjan, Bhubaneswar), Tulika Tripathy (Gita Gobinda, Bhubaneswar), Dipanjana Dutta (Kolkata), Maya Krishnamurthy (Bengaluru), Puspa Panda (Gunjan, Cuttack), Rajlaxmi Bakshy (Rourkela), Sunita Biswal (New Delhi), Tanushree Yalavatti (Mumbai), Upasana Mohanty (Art Vision, Bhubaneswar) and Loma Mishra (Gita Gobinda, Bhubaneswar).
About 22 dancers won the Odissi Prativa titles in senior group, while 35 dancers won the titles in the junior group.
“A jury comprising of dance exponents and dance critics watched nearly 100 solo dancers below the age of 30 from all over the world during the festival and awarded marks. Those who secured at least 75 per cent marks, were awarded the title of Odissi Prativa (Odissi talent) while the top-ten scorers were honoured specially,” he added. 
The winners of the top-ten-talent titles shall be invited to perform at the Odissi International festival next year, Chakra added.
The four-day festival which concluded on December 22 had featured performance of nearly 150 dancers from Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malayasia, Russia, Singapore, Netherlands, United Kingdom, USA and West Indies.
