Report by India Education bureau, New Delhi: The Farm Equipment Sector of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., India’s leading tractor manufacturer, today announced the winners of the India Agri Awards 2013. These awards have been instituted to recognize the Indian farmer’s noteworthy and purposeful contribution to the field of agriculture, the backbone of the Indian economy. Minister of State for Agriculture, Shri Tariq Anwar was the guest of honour at the awards ceremony.
The awards were judged by an eminent jury of agri experts chaired by Mr. Ashish Bahuguna, Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture & Cooperation, Govt of India.
The Mahindra Samriddhi Krishi Shiromani Samman (Life Time Achievement Award) 2013 was conferred upon Dr. R S Paroda for his immense contribution to Indian Agriculture and for enabling rural India to RISE.

Several Mahindra dealerships have been transformed into Samriddhi Centres offering the farmer easy access to technological know-how, hybrid seeds, soil and irrigation water testing facilities, demo farms, finance and insurance internet updates, apart from sales and service of tractors and advanced implements.
