Report by India Education bureau, Bangalore: IEEE today announced that it has been working with Excelsoft Technologies Pvt. Ltd for over a year in an exclusive alliance to develop the next generation e-Learning platform and e-Learning courses for the recently launched Blended Learning Program in VLSI. The IEEE Blended Learning Program in VLSI is a unique skills-development program that aims to increase the availability of skilled engineers in the rapidly growing Electronic System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) sector in India.
Excelsoft has been working in partnership with IEEE to implement its flagship product, SARAS, a Unified Learning & Assessment Platform for the IEEE Blended Learning Program. This program represents a paradigm shift in skills-based training that helps in acquisition & application of knowledge and skills by performing tasks in an engaging manner.
“Together with IEEE and their training partner RV-VLSI, we are delivering best-in-class performance-based learning and assessment solutions for next generation learning needs in the field of VLSI. We plan to work with IEEE on similar programs for other core engineering domains” said Mr. D. Sudhanva, Managing Director of Excelsoft.
The IEEE Blended Learning Program (BLP) includes an e-Learning component to teach concepts in a highly engaging and interactive manner, an instructor-led lab component, an adaptive assessment at the end of each course, and content & performance analytics.
“IEEE worked closely with Excelsoft team to develop new instructional design strategies for the highly technical content to create advanced e-Learning courses so that the learners can have an anytime, low-stakes personal classroom-like learning environment,” said Mr. David Goldstein, Lead Director at IEEE.
The program is already available in the Bangalore & neighbouring regions to undergraduate and graduate students in colleges and universities, faculty members, corporations, and recent graduates aspiring to a career in the semiconductor industry. IEEE is also planning to expand the program to other regions in India as well as globally in the near future.
