Mumbai:  S. K. Somaiya's annual mass media festival, Mediatheque was held on the 9th and 10th January 2017 at the Somaiya Vidyavihar Campus. Where students from twenty different colleges all over Mumbai participated zealously.  The mass media department incorporated 'Emoticons' as the theme of the festival. Emoticons have been a way to express emotions in an apt way. Emoji are the latest trend that strikes the chords of the youth and is the latest trend in the new media; and it remained the crux of te festival throughout.  
The event was inaugurated on an auspicious note with Somaiya College's prayer along with a singing and dancing performance. The dance, fashion and the RJ event were one of the best events of the festival. The two day fest was graced by Abhishek Das, RJ Mantra, Vikas Grover, Bharat Dabholkar, Parag Mehta and Shantanu Tungare. 
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Sangita Kohli, Principal S. K. Somaiya Degree College said that she feels really proud to have all the students from different colleges here at Somaiya. She also praised the team by saying that they've worked hard to make the festival a grand success. 
Mediatheque partnered with Larsen and Toubro, Godrej Interio, Herbolent, Corporation Bank, PentaBleu, Spoyl, Serenity Skies, Maharashtra Times, InstaBlood and for the fest.
