AMU starts 23rd IIRS outreach programme

Aligarh: The Interdisciplinary Department of Remote Sensing and GIS Applications, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has started the 23rd IIRS outreach programme on ‘Basics of Remote Sensing, Geographical Information System and Global Navigation Satellite System’.

Prof Nizamuddin Khan (Edusat Coordinator, Interdisciplinary Department of Remote Sensing and GIS Applications) said that the topics of the programme will give participants an understanding of geo-spatial technologies in different fields.

Prof Mohd Shakir (Dean, Faculty of Science) said that the course will be of great help to teachers and research scholars.

The programme is facilitated by Dr Syed Kausar Shamim and Dr Ziaur Rahman Ansari, while Dr Wasi A Zaidi is the technical in-charge.
