Cambridge International Examinations rebrands as Cambridge Assessment International Education

Mumbai: Cambridge International Examinations, a department of the University of Cambridge, today announced that it will now be known as Cambridge Assessment International Education (Cambridge International) across the globe.

Assessment and examinations remain at the heart of the organisation’s activities, and that is why the new name includes the word ‘assessment’. It also shows more clearly that the organisation is part of Cambridge Assessment and shares in its unrivalled expertise. However, the most significant part of the name change is the addition of the word ‘education’, reflecting a strong commitment to help schools develop the whole education they provide for learners.

Cambridge International delivers programmes and qualifications to 10,000 schools in more than 160 countries. It has been providing international examinations for more than 150 years. Cambridge Assessment, its parent organisation, has deep experience and expertise in English language learning, developing education on a national level and international education.

Cambridge International prepares school students for life by helping them develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning.

Ruchira Ghosh, Regional Director for South Asia, Cambridge International said, “Our educational offer has expanded well beyond our programme of 20 years ago, when we first used the name Cambridge International Examinations, and schools come to us for an ever-increasing range of services – from professional development to curriculum support. Although our name is changing, our programmes and qualifications will retain the same high quality that schools and universities worldwide have come to trust. Our relationship with the University of Cambridge remains unchanged. We are excited about the new programmes and services we are developing, and look forward to working with our schools to help every student learn, discover and achieve.”
