CUO felicitate participants of Ek Bharat Sreshth Bharat

Koraput: Central University of Odisha organized a special programme to felicitate the students who participated in the Ek Bharat Sreshth Bharat programme at its Landiguda campus on 10.05.2018. Prof. Sachidanada Mohanty Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor distributed certificates to 29 participants of EBSB. The participants had earlier performed Marathi Play ‘Silence! Khatla Chalu Ahe’ on 25.01.2018 at the Landiguda campus of the University after rigorous training at workshop on Marathi theatre held from 22-29 January, 2018. The performance was highly appreciated by the University.

Prof. Mohanty congratulated the students and motivated them to actively participate in all cultural as well as academic activities of the University. He said “students are the cultural ambassadors of the University and they represent the diverse culture of the nation. We have to respect and celebrate the diverse culture of the country”. He said Orissa and Maharashtra have historic ties. As per the guidelines of the MHRD, Maharashtra is the paired state of Odisha.

On this occasion Prof. K.C Raut Dean-Academics and Nodal Officer of EBSB, Prof. Bhabani Prashad Rath, OSD, Prof. Sarat Kumar Palita Dean-SBCNR, Dr. Asit Kumar Das, Registrar, Dr. Phagunath Bhoi, PRO and Coordinator EBSB and Sh. Sourav Gupta, Assistant Professor and Convener, EBSB were also present.

Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat programme is the flagship programme of Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Govt. of India to create a unique opportunity for exchange of culture, ideas and tradition between the paired states. Students, Faculty and staff were present in large number.
