Dr. Karan Avatar Singh, Chief Secretary, Government of Punjab Launched CBA Programme at ISB’s Mohali Campus

 

Mohali: Dr. Karan Avatar Singh, Chief Secretary, Government of Punjab inaugurated Certificate Programme in Business Analytics (CBA) at ISB’s Mohali campus today. The Applied Statics and computing Lab under Centre for Executive Education at ISB is extending the Certificate Programme in Business Analytics (CBA) to its Mohali campus with the class of 2018 (Winter). Mr. Sameer Dhanrajani Chief Strategy Officer, Fractal Analytics was the Guest of Honour for the programme. Along with them Professor Rajendra Srivastava Dean ISB, Professor Sridhar Seshadri, Senior Advisor to Dean – Faculty & Research and Prof. Bhimasankaram Pochiraju, Executive Director, Clinical Professor of Statistics ISB were also present.

Dr Karan Avtar Spoke that how data science and analytics has been existing for long however unfortunately it has not been In India. He gave 3 advices to the CBA students

1. Understand and comprehend data
2. Use that comprehension to build algorithm
3. Use that algorithm or forecast to understand the problem and help people

The comprehensive Certificate Programme in Business Analytics curriculum provides a framework through which participants learn to enhance their management skills, expand their knowledge of business analytics, and gain a strategic perspective of the retail industry. The current batch have 46 participant who will be doing overall 6 visits of 5 days each in campus for the classes and rest online in this 15 months programme
