Dr. Neelam Gupta, Founder President, AROH Foundation Wins CSR Professional of the Year Award, 2019

 

New Delhi: Dr. Neelam Gupta, Founder President and CEO of AROH Foundation, a leading national-level NGO, was conferred with CSR Professional of the Year Award at the CSR Times Awards, 2019 held in New Delhi on September 18th 2019. The award recognizes Dr. Neelam Gupta’s outstanding work in societal development and execution of remarkable and exemplary CSR interventions under her leadership. AROH Foundation has also been awarded the CSR Times Award, 2019 in the category Water Conservation & Management, Rivers, and Inland Waterways during the event. The CSR Times Award focuses on honoring and celebrating the innovation and significant contributions that CSR practices make. The Award recognizes AROH Foundation’s work towards water conservation and management, particularly preserving and reviving rivers and inland waterways.

AROH Foundation was started by Dr. Gupta with an objective of giving back to the society. Realizing the great need of developmental work at the grassroots level, she took up social interventions which provided direct benefits to people. Since its inception, Dr. Gupta and her team have methodically conceptualized several sustainable social interventions across India and implemented the same in partnership with Government of India, Public Sector Enterprises and Corporates. At present, AROH is working on multi-sectorial development initiatives in CSR domain and government schemes.

Majority of interventions by AROH Foundation have been focused towards the development of the marginalized section of the society along with conserving natural resources. The Foundation has a pan-India presence and has an outreach in the remote rural areas in 18 states of India. Under the leadership of Dr. Gupta, the Foundation has directly impacted the lives of more than 5 lakh individuals so far.

On receiving the CSR Professional of the Year Award and CSR Times Awards, 2019 on behalf of the Foundation, Dr. Neelam Gupta Said, “I feel both proud and humbled that I have been chosen to receive these awards. The awards and recognitions strengthen and motivate us in continuing the work for the development of the society.”

The CSR Times Award, 2019 encourages Corporate, Corporate Foundations, NGOs, Government and Public Sector Undertakings, Individuals or Group of Individuals to deliver high impact through CSR projects and adopt multi-stakeholder approach leading to excellence in project outcomes. The 2019 awards were distributed at National CSR Summit & Awards, 2019 and witnessed participation from corporates and CSR professionals from far and wide.
