First ‘F1 in Schools™ India’ Winner Announced, Genesis Global School wins the National championship

Gurgaon:, Over 50 schools and more than 700 students from across the country experienced the Grand Saga of F1 in Schools™ India National Finals 2017-18 at Ambience Mall Gurgaon in a STEM challenge run by the company Time of Sports. The winners were the team Tech No Logic from Genesis Global School.A massive gathering of speed and thrill could be seen in the national finals of F1 in Schools™ India at the Ambience Mall, located in Millennium City. Through its skill and talent, the Genesis Global School won the national championship. While Amity International School, Saket and The British School were the runners-up. During this period, 19 winners were honored in different categories.

On the occasion, Dr. Hanif Qureshi, the Commissioner of Faridabad, was present as the Chief Guest and during the event, he also appreciated the efforts of the children. About 700 children from over 50 schools competed during the national finals of F1 in Schools™ India organized by Time Of Sports. In this phase of speed, thrill & technology advancement, Meerut’s Dewan Public School recorded the fastest speed with decimals 918 seconds to cover the 25m track.

The winners included the fastest car (XLR8, Dewan Public School), Best Verbal Presentation (Matadors, Amity International School, Saket), Best Team Identity (Flash, Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan), Best Sponsorship and Marketing (Team Nitro, The British School), Innovative Thinking (Riptide, Amity International School, Pushp Vihar), Best Pit Displays (Team Impulse, The British School), Enterprise Portfolio Award (Team Extreme, Lotus Valley International School, Noida), Scrutineering Award (Treadsmokers, Tagore International School, East of Kailash), Social Media Award (Panthera, Amity International School, Mayur Vihar), Knock-Out Competition Runner-Up (Alpha Racers, Amity International School, Pushp Vihar), Knock-out Competition Winner (Racing Gladiators, Ambience Public School), Outstanding Sportsmanship Award (RAV, The Doon School & FUSION 5, Jodhamal Public School) Women in Motorsports award (Carbon 5, Amity International School, Saket), Best Engineered Car (Tech No Logic, Genesis Global School), Best Research & Development (Team Impact, The Shri Ram School, Aravali), Young Achievers (Team Mercedes, The Millennium School), Overall Performance (Team Vapr, Amity International School, Sector-46 Gurgaon),Second Runner Ups (Team Impulse, The British School) and First Runner Ups (Matadors, Amity International School, Saket) .

Children enjoyed a wonderful and exciting atmosphere throughout the day. The team of Genesis Global School said that it was a very fun and memorable experience. This competition gave them the opportunity to present their skills on a global platform and was a great learning experience which will help them in the future projects.

Winning the National Championship, the Genesis Global School will represent India in the F1 in Schools™ World Finals to be held in Singapore later this year. F1 in Schools™ is the world’s largest STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) based technology challenge and requires students to design, build and race a miniature F1 car. Part of the F1 in Schools™ showcase was the Pit Booths, which featured live demonstrations by students and a chance for visitors to see how the F1 in Schools™ cars are designed, manufactured and tested.
