G.D Goenka University celebrates its 3rd annual convocation

Gurugram: G. D Goenka University hosted its 3rd Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, 23thDecember 2017 at the university campus. The ceremonies were marked by the presence of esteemed guests and parents of the graduating students. Mrs. Renu Goenka, Hon’ble Chancellor, G. D Goneka University, and Mr Nipun Goenka, M.D, G. D Goneka University were also present at the event.

A total of 381 grandaunds from eight schools of the University namely Engineering, Management, Law, Humanities and Social Science, Hospitality, Communication, Education and Fashion and Design were conferred undergraduate, postgraduate degrees and post graduate diplomas, during the ceremony. 23 meritorious students also received gold, silver and bronze medals for academic excellence.

At the event, Prof. (Dr.) Srihari, Vice Chancellor, G.D Goenka University said, “We strive at working closely with the students to design customized educational plans that meet their individual goals. We continue to offer our students a personalized learning environment with great deal of flexibility and continuous mentoring. As we strive to be at the forefront of education, we also continue partnering with industry and leading research centers from India and abroad for joint projects, trainings and internships.”

The academic year 2016-17 has given us ample reasons to the university to celebrate. Wherein GD Goenka University ranked the number one private University in north India by ASSOCHAM. Apart from this School of Engineering was ranked 2nd among the emerging private institutes and School of Management achieved 3rd rank among top emerging BBA institutes in the entire nation by the Time of India. A new school was also launched the 10th school specializing in Medical and Allied Sciences.

Hon’ble Governor of Haryana Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki congratulated the University for aligning itself to the Department of Higher Education’s aspiration to instill an entrepreneurial mindset throughout India’s higher-education system and produce graduates with a drive to create jobs, rather than only seeking jobs.

The convocation ceremony was a landmark occasion, a time for graduates, family members, friends, and lecturers to gather and celebrate the past and future. The ceremony provided parents, family and friends the opportunity to celebrate significant contribution and success of GD Goenka University graduates.
