GD Goenka University & Centre for Air Power Studies to organise a Joint Seminar

 

Gurugram, India, 10 March, 2018: The School of Communication of G D Goenka University, is organising a Joint Seminar in collaboration with the Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS) on the “Role of Media in Conflict Reporting & Peace Building: Prospects and Challenges for India”. The seminar which will be organised at the G D Goenka University campus on March 12, 2018 is aimed at giving an insight into Defence Journalism to the students of Journalism and Mass Communication.

The key highlight of the high profile joint seminar will be the confluence of distinguished guests and speakers from defence forces and media. Air Marshal Vinod Patney, SYSM, PVSM, AVSM, VrC (Retd), Director General, CAPS will be the Chief Guest at the seminar. The list of other dignitaries includes key speakers –

This joint seminar is the beginning of the academic collaboration between the School of Communication, G D Goenka University and the Centre for Airpower Studies. The first half of the highly interactive knowledge session with the dignitaries will deliberate on contemporary India centric conflict issues related to the South Asian region, while the second half will focus on the role of media in conflict reporting and peace building in the region.
