Goa Governor ​confers Best Innovative University Award on Odisha-based Sri Sri University

Bhubaneswar: Smt. Mridula Sinha, the Her Excellency Governor of Goa conferred Best Innovative University Award on Odisha’s Sri Sri University. Prof Srinivas Subbarao, the Executive Registrar of Sri Sri University received the award from the Governor at the National Education Excellence Awards 2017 in Goa. The Second National Education Summit and Educational Excellence Awards 2017 was organised at the Goa International Centre by College to Campus.
The summit dealt with subjects such as education, learn in India-learn for the world, investment in school and higher education sector in Goa, Digital India for smarter nation, education in India, ancient and modern, the role of spirituality and spiritual practices in education, empowering girls and women through education and national and international best practices of education, agriculture education program: youth and young scientists for agriculture.
Member of Parliament from Bhadohi Virendra Singh Mast, Jahanabad MP Dr Arun Kumar, Goa Director General of Police Muktesh Chander, Goa State Election Commissioner R K Srivastava, North Goa Collector North Nila Mohanan, Goa University Vice-Chancellor Dr Varun Sahni, Joint Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalay Sangathan Dr V Vijayalakshmi, and Ex- President of Student Union of Patna University Anil Kumar attended the summit. Thirty awards were presented to various universities, colleges, institutions and individuals for their extraordinary contribution to the field of education.
The award is another feather on the cap of Sri Sri University which has won several awards and appreciation world over. This new age glocal university prides itself as the happiest vegetarian, drug-free and violence-free campus.
