Hiranandani Upscale School Students Addressed by India’s Leading Educational Consultant Viral Doshi

Chennai: With an aim to provide its students and parents a better understanding of the new trends in higher education and career choices, Hiranandani Upscale School (HUS) in Kelambakkam, Chennai organised an informational session by India’s leading educational consultant Viral Doshi.

Choosing the right stream for higher education after the 10th grade and applying for the right college and course after the 12th grade are some of the difficult decisions encountered by students and parents these days. There is also apprehension on the career prospects and demand for a chosen discipline. To prepare its students in making the right choices, HUS hosted the session by Viral Doshi in its premises that proved to be a revelation on what is happening to education and career choices today, and how it has evolved over the years.
Viral Doshi is a renowned educational consultant and career counselor who is on the advisory board of many institutions within India and overseas. He is a regular speaker at many educational conferences and workshops and extensively concerns himself with the process of guiding budding students and setting them on the right path.
The session began with opening remarks by Mehran Akhtarkhavari, Director of HUS, who with his vast experience of over two and a half decades in the field of education, said: “Children need to acquire the required skills in preparation for the world of tomorrow and to also be global citizens. Today’s event is the first of many informational sessions that HUS will be hosting for our students and parents. Our priority is to prepare them and put them on a pathway to the right choice of higher education and career options that is available in India and around the world.”
Viral Doshi spoke about his expertise and contribution in guiding students on a possible career path that finds the right place for a child to study in his or her chosen field. He spoke about where educational choices are heading to and how careers are going to change and evolve in the future. “With umpteen number of choices available today, children are faced with indecisiveness on which subject streams and colleges will prove to be a right fit for them. Children today need to cultivate a global mindset and be vary of the changing trends in the landscape of education and career choices and have a strong point of differentiation that they can use to their advantage. The IB programme at HUS helps students gain a broad range of cognitive and collaborative skills which moulds their personality and makes them prepared for the various career and educational choices available today globally.”
