HP announces scholarship program for meritorious students in India
New Delhi: HP Inc. India has announced ‘HP Udaan Scholarship’, to support and upskill more than 1300 students from low income families. In addition, to encourage and promote education for girls, 50% of these scholarships will be secured for them. The program will also provide the selected students with career counselling and mentoring by HP employees. It is part of HP’s focus to provide quality, technology-enabled inclusive learning to engage and empower student, helping them to unlock new opportunities in the 21st century.
The scholarship program has three distinct categories:
· One Year Scholarships for Diploma/ITI students
· Two-Year Scholarships for students enrolled in Class 11th
· Three-Year Scholarships for Undergraduate students
Students who have scored more than 60% marks in their 10th and 12th Class, with family incomes of not more than INR 4 lakhs per annum, will be eligible for the program. The selected scholars’ academic progress will be closely monitored, and each will be assigned up to two HP mentors according to their area of interests, to ensure a well-rounded development beyond academics.

The selection process for “HP Udaan Scholarship”, will comprise of online/offline application submission, screening, telephonic interviews and scholar selection.
