IETF 2011 generates business enquiries worth Rs 1400 crore

New Delhi: The recently concluded International Engineering and Technology Fair (IETF 2011) organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has generated business enquiries worth Rs 1400 crores and 25,162 business visitors visited the fair.

An added dimension to IETF this year was 7th edition of Eco-Products International Fair (EPIF) that was co-hosted with Asian Productivity Organization (APO), National Productivity Council (NPC) with the support of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP). Eco-Friendly products have become very important in modern world.  The show on Eco-products aimed at catalysing new partnerships in development and transfer of environmentally sound technologies that can help to adapt to and minimize climate change.

Japan was the “Partner Country” and UAE “Focus Country” at IETF 2011. The other overseas countries which exhibited their latest technologies at the fair included-Australia, China, France, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Slovak Republic and South Africa.

While showcasing the range of the engineering industry and the high quality competitive products, IETF 2011 also had a number of concurrent Fairs.  These included Solid Waste Management, Waste Water Management and Technologies, Manufacturing and Stainless Steel Pavilion, Welding Technologies, Partmart and Autocare and Corporate Pavilions. IETF 2011 also featured an exclusive Contemporary Indian Art Exhibition.

The 20th edition of IETF would be held in New Delhi from 25-27 February 2013.
