IIM Bodh Gaya and IIT Patna Collaborate for Education and Research by Signing a Memorandum of Understanding  

 

Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya (IIM Bodh Gaya) and Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their partnership in education and research. The MoU was signed on April 9th, 2024 by Dr. Vinita S. Sahay, Director, IIM Bodh Gaya and Dr. T.N. Singh, Director, IIT Patna at IIM Bodh Gaya. This collaboration signifies a strategic alliance between the two institutions, both established under Acts of Parliament.

 

Located in close proximity within Bihar, the permanent campuses of IIM Bodh Gaya and IIT Patna offer a distinctive opportunity for collaborative initiatives. The MoU outlines various areas of collaboration, including joint dual degree programs aimed to provide students with interdisciplinary expertise by combining technical and managerial skills.

 

Furthermore, the MoU facilitates academic, research, and consultancy collaborations between faculty members of both institutions. This collaboration also includes the sharing of research facilities, enabling joint research endeavors and strengthening research capabilities.

 

International collaboration is a key focus, with both institutes seeking to engage in joint ventures with international organizations for exchange programs, research partnerships, and publications. Executive education programs tailored to industry needs and collaborative efforts in placement activities are also part of the agreement.

 

The MoU, initially valid for five years and extendable thereafter, highlights the commitment of both institutions to academic excellence. Any amendments or modifications to the MoU will be made through mutual agreement, emphasizing the principles of mutual understanding and respect.

 

The collaboration between IIM Bodh Gaya and IIT Patna combines the strengths of both institutions of national importance in education and research.
