IIM Kashipur: Day 2 of Uttishtha’19 saw huge participation

Kashipur: Startup Fair Uttishta’19 started in Kashipur. A two-day boot camp was organized in the program in which students from IIM Kashipur, as well as large no of students from several management colleges in and around Uttarakhand, participated enthusiastically in it.

On the second day of the event, Prof. Safal Batra, Professor of Strategy, IIM Kashipur, started the program at Bootcamp. The experts then taught the students about the art of pitching and resolved their doubts. Along with this, a startup pitching session was organized in which all college students and startup founders of many fields presented their startup ideas to experts and received invaluable suggestions and feedback from them.

The Annual Entrepreneurial Summit, Uttishtha 2019 of IIM Kashipur was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Later Prof. Kulbhushan Balooni, Director, IIM Kashipur welcomed the honorable guests to Uttishta 2019. He spoke about the importance of youths’ participation in entrepreneurship which is driven by leadership and innovations and cordially invited the guests to join hands to build a better future together.

This was followed by Keynote speeches from Mr. Vikram Duggal, Managing Partner, Ikel Venture, Mr. Jatin Singh, Founder, Skymet Weather and Village Cover, Mr. Mukesh Malik, CEO Project GK, Partner Ah Ventures and Mr. Sunil Chawla, Chief General Manager, NABARD. Later, a panel discussion was conducted on the topic “Economic Slowdown: Boon or bane for startup ecosystem?” moderated by Vikram Duggal with a panel comprising of Anil Taneja, Regional Director, Ph.D., Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Ms. Anu Meena, Founder AgroWav and Mr. Jatin Singh.
