IIMC to host Vajpayee memorial lecture, sign MOU with Uzbek University

 

New Delhi :Executive Council of IIMC has decided to name the main road within the campus in the name of late former Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who began his career as a Journalist. The apex decision making body of India’s Premiere media training institute IIMC also approved new faculty positions for IIMC campuses at Dhenkanal, Amravati, Aizawl, Jammu and Kottayam. The meeting was chaired by Shri Amit Khare , Secretary I& B(The Chaiman of EC)

DG Shri KG Suresh who is the Member Secretary of Executive Council said “The EC has also approved an annual lecture at the institute in the memory of former Prime Minister. The EC also approved IIMC’s proposed MOU with Uzbekistan State University of Languages.

Addressing the members concerned about the fake news, he said “The institute is engaged in organizing workshops on the subject and developing pedagogy for the same.”

The EC meeting also approved a maximum medical reimbursement of up to Rs 30000/- for the retired employees. The meeting was attended amongst others by Prof. Makhhan Lal, of the Delhi Institute of Heritage Research and Management, by Prof. Vijay Dharukar VC, Tripura Central University , Shri Rakesh Khar, Editor( Special Projects), Network 18, Shri Hitesh Shankar, Editor Panchjanya , Ms. Smita Prakash, Director News, ANI, besides representatives of Ministry of I&B and Faculty of IIMC.
