Hyderabad: Indo Data Week – First Ever Data Conference on UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and biggest ever Data Science knowledge sharing programs to be held in Hyderabad from November 2-8.

INIAC, DAV Solutions, UNDP, Citi Foundation, Youth Co: Lab will jointly host a 7 day long Indo Data Week 2019 to accelerate Data Science, leading the largest Youth Sustainable Tech Entrepreneurship Movement in both Telugu States and India with focus on UN’s SDGs Organised by Indo-Nordic Innovation Acceleration Clusters, Stockholm; in association with DAV Intelligent Data Solutions, India; the weeklong event will feature the first International Data Science Conference & Expo on SDG in India, Boot Camps for hands-on Training on Data Science Tools and a Hackathon for teams to create an impactful and innovative data product. Indo Data Week 2019 is one of the first partnership events hosted by Youth Co:Lab India

The 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) to transform our world are: No Poverty; Zero Hunger; Good Health and Well-being; Quality Education; Gender Equality; Clean Water and Sanitation; Affordable and Clean Energy; Decent Work and Economic Growth; Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; Reduced Inequality; Sustainable Cities and Communities; Responsible Consumption and Production; Climate Action; Life Below Water; Life on Land; Peace and Justice Strong Institutions and; Partnerships to achieve the Goal

The other Co events planned around this are Skill Development Bootcamps for Professionals. It will be held at T-Hub, Hyderabad on November 2 and 3. In this program the participants will join industry experts in learning technology and business skills in the field of Data Science. The topics for the same include popular fields like Computer Vision; Natural Language Processing; Deep Learning; Data Visualization

Simultaneously there will be a Master Class. It will be held at WE-HUB, Hyderabad on the same dates above . The two Day Masterclass will be held for Startups. The experts from Sweden, Germany, Singapore and India will delve from Idea generation, to Innovation to Raising funds and Pitching to International Investors. It will be a must to attend program for Startups.

A program ‘Schools4SDG” aimed to students will be organised on 3rd and 4th November. Entries will be solicited from students who will submit posters on the theme “The Perfect Sustainable Future”. The ten shortlisted teams will attend a pre-finals boot camp @ OctoSpaces for students and teachers with 3 teams moving on to the final Oral Presentation at Indo Data Week Conference.

The main part of the Indo Data Week is its Conference “Data for Sustainability”. It will be held on 4th and 5th for two days at Hotel Hyatt, Gachibowli, delve on Sustainable Development Goals. A panel of international experts will be the speakers. The topics of the conference range from Data Science Techniques to Ethics and Decision Making using Data Science. The 250 delegates who are expected to attend will gain insights into using Data Science for sustainable development while networking with peers and leaders of the industry.

The other events that will be held along with the conference are Safe Events which include VIP Dinner and Investor Dating.

The 500 participants include Data Science enthusiasts and professionals from around the globe to share ideas, inspire each other and build their professional network. Each speaker at IDW’19 will cover one fo the 17 sustainable goals. They will be sharing real-time use cases on how data and AI (Artificial Intelligence) are used to solve societal challenges and bring about community-based transformation. And industry expo which is organized in conjunction with the conference will feature 30 global companies.

Teams on 5th November will compete in another unique activity, Startup4SDG Awards by presenting a 5 minutes pitch on “How do you use Data to accelerate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals?” The pitches will be made to the jury comprised of investors, VCs, CEOs & Startup Advisors and Mentors. The top 3 Startups will receive mentorship, technical training and access to investor networks in Europe in 2020.

Skill Development Bootcamps will be held for Students and Faculty KL University at Vijayawada on November 6th for a day. It will deal in subjects like Python Basics Data Visualization Machine Learning. Faculty Development Bootcamp Data Science Lifecycle Tools and Techniques Student Opportunities Agile way of working

It will be held on 6th and to 8th November at T Hub Hyderabad. In this three day Hackathon of its kind, students and professionals work in tandem on data sets provided by sustainability companies to come out with solutions to the problems posed to them. .

In the culminating activity Youth4SDG, of the 7 Day Indo Data Week, youth will get a rare opportunity to get validated their Data Science Ideas and produce a minimum viable product. Participants will receive mentorship and attend a Hackathon before pitching to CEOs and scientific advisors. The winning team will get to attend a fully-funded summer school in Europe and will be incubated in Youth Co:Lab Springboard Program.
