New Delhi: Canadian writer Margaret Atwood and British author Bernardine Evaristo split the Booker Prize after the judging panel rips up the rulebook and refuses to name one winner for the prestigious fiction trophy.Margaret Atwood for The Testaments AND Bernardine Evaristo for Girl, Woman, Other.

This is Margaret Atwood’s second Booker Prize, and she will be the oldest recipient at 79. Bernardine Evaristo will be the first ever black woman to win it.
