MDI Gurgaon celebrates 25 years of PGPM Program
Gurgaon: Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon, country’s premier B school celebrated 25 years of MDI’s flagship Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) on Thursday at its Gurgaon Campus.
PGPM, the two-year full-time flagship programme of MDI was started in 1994 to develop professional managers ready to work at responsible positions in a global environment. It has become an integral part of the Global Business Community with a flourishing cauldron of excellence in Management Education.
To cherish those 25 years, the institute is celebrating a row of commemorating events from 22nd to 24th November 2018.
Shri Rajesh Ramakrishnan, MD, Perfetti was the guest of honor and enlightened the gathering with his words of wisdom on passion and how it can make the student’s life enjoyable and successful. He said, ‘Lack of resources is never the problem; it is lack of resourcefulness that is often the problem’.
The ceremony was taken forward by Prof Atmanand, Director (Additional Charge) MDI Gurgaon. Sharing his valuable thoughts Prof Atmanand said ‘The sole aim of MDI as an Institute is to disseminate knowledge and demonstrate students to learn the three-pronged approach – Connect, Nurture and Grow – with values. MDI believes in creating thought leaders and change masters, who could lead the sectors they are in’.
The inaugural ceremony was followed by panel discussions on topics like; ‘Market Forces Impacting Management Education- The Industry Perspective with CEOs and CXOs.’ ‘Sustaining Excellence in a global Business School – The Leadership perspective with the Directors of Top Management Institutes’ and ‘MDI’s Journey so far and the way Forward’. Big names like, Neelima Burra-CMO HP, Nitin Kaushal- Co-Founder Country Delight, Rajeev Malhotra- Founder and CEO Hotel Launcher, Vineet London- CMO, HCL, Professor Bharat Bhaskar- Director IIM Raipur, Prashant Nanda- Editor Mint, Girish Aivalli, Group Executive Director-IntelloLabs, Mayank Bansal, Director Global Infrastructure Partners and Arjun Wadhwa, CFO Career were present in the panel for discussion and have shared their insights.
The distinguished alumni present during the occasion shared, that how MDI has grown over the years, considering the achievements so far. The alumni, also shared their memories of the time they spent at MDI.
The celebrations included inauguration ceremony of ‘Imperium 2018′, a three-day annual festival will see some of the brightest mind from colleges across the country who will join at MDI’s Imperium 2018′. The institute will witness an audience that is diverse in culture, talent and form.
