“New Technologies will generate new jobs in Industry” says MD HCL, Rangarajan

Chandigarh: “New Technologies will foster the demand for new skill-set in the Industry which will replace the current jobs in the corporate world”, said Rangarajan Raghavan, Managing Director, HCL. He was speaking during the 14th Annual Convocation Ceremony of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran. More than 2100 students of 2018 & 2019 pass-out batch which includes Post-Graduate and Under-Graduate students were awarded degrees during the convocation ceremony. 56 Universities toppers were also honoured with medals. Alok Kothari, MD, Netskope Software, P.N. Hrisheekesha, Campus Director, CGC Landran, D.P.Singh, Sr. Executive Vice-President, Chandigarh University and Himani Sood, Director Placements were also present on the occasion.
While delivering his convocation address to the students, Alok Kothari said, “Integrity, Searching for the right opportunity and Empathy are the three core values which the students should inculcate during their academic learning which will help them in getting success in professional and personal lives”.
“Most of the students who received their degrees have been placed with top notch MNCs with many having bagged multiple offers” said Himani Sood, Placement Director, CGC. Amongst the Gold Medallists, Aayushi Sharma from Electronics and Communication Engineering has been offered placement at Wipro Technologies, Capgemini and ZS Associates. Aman Kumar Verma, Mechanical Engineering Student has been placed at Padmini VNA Mechatronics.
