Next Education organizes Robotricks-2018 for students in Delhi to be held on 12th January 2018

 

Delhi: Next Education, a leading service provider in the ed-tech sector, is bringing one of its kind robotics competitions — Robotricks-2018 in 3 cities providing students with an exciting opportunity to innovate and design using technology. The day-long event will be held on 12th January 2018 starting from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and is expected to have close to 450 students from 36 schools. Apart from Delhi, the competition will simultaneously happen in Pune and Indore on the same day. The objective of the competition is to engage the students to come up with innovative working Robotic models and programming techniques.
Out of the 4 cities, the competition that took place in Coimbatore on the 6th January 2018 witnessed a participation of 170 students from 17 different schools.

Speaking on the competition Mr. Beas Dev Ralhan, CEO & Co-founder, Next Education India Pvt. Ltd. said- “The competition aims at rejuvenating the motor skills of the students with a technological bend of mind, and in providing them with a competitive environment to innovate around technology. The idea of the initiative is to encourage students to pursue robotics as a lucrative career and also help them find their true calling.”

The competition has been sub-divided into 2 categories – Manual and Autonomous. The manual category is for 4th to 6th-grade students whereas the autonomous category is for grades 6th to 10th with a team size of 3 students and a mentor per team for both categories. Students have to go through a qualifying stage before attempting all the missions of the problem statement.

All the participants will also go through a presentation where they will be judged on presentation skills, Robot design and Best Algorithm (programming methods). The winning team will be facilitated with a cash prize of Rs.5000 and the runner-ups will be given a cash prize of Rs.3000.
