NGO Kids attended educational workshop- An introduction to growing up
Mumbai: 250 Kids from Akanksha & Teach For India NGO attended an educational workshop – An introduction to growing up during Krazy Kids Karnival event on 4th November 2017 at City Park, near MMRDA Office, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra East, Mumbai, India. Also, the inauguration of the event was done by them followed they enjoyed all the activities like Storytelling session, Krazy Science Lab, Art & Craft Zone, Adventure Camping, Amusement & Rides and Live Shows like Drum Circle, Flash Mob, Kids Rock band and Magic Show.
The kid’s carnival not only has fun activities but also informative sessions, hence an exclusive educational workshop- An introduction to growing up was arranged for the Akanksha & Teach For India NGO kid. The workshop was about how to overcome difficulties a child faces during growing age for instance during Puberty a girl goes through physical changes which she is unaware about. Through this short workshop, they introduce the kids to the concept of puberty and how to tackle the changes positively. The workshop was conducted by UnTaboo, a company dedicated to Sex-Sexuality-Safety education.
Mr. Navin Todi, Director, Meltwater Events said, “Our main objective to invite kids from Akanksha & Teach For India NGO was to spread happiness among all the sections of the society. Many underprivileged kids are not able to enjoy or do fun activities so with Krazy Kids Karnival as a platform try and bring little moments of happiness in their lives. This is was our way to show care for the society and a small contribution towards upliftment of the kid’s lives.”
Mr. Niphul Jain, Director, Meltwater Events, further elaborated, “Krazy Kids Karnival is not only about having fun but also about learning and development. Along with bringing a smile on the kid’s face, we wanted them to learn new things which help them to grow. So we had arranged an exclusive workshop like –An Introduction to growing up and some storytelling sessions for the kids to create awareness about various complications for a kid during growing age and to boost their confidence respectively.”
