PGDM 2017-19 begins at full capacity in Kohinoor Business School (KBS)

Mumbai: The Vidyavihar based Kohinoor Business School (KBS) welcomed 120 students of the 8th batch
of the AICTE approved, 2-year full-time, Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). With the PGDM batch running at full capacity, the institute is now gearing up to welcome MMS students after their CAP round is over. Recently, KBS was ranked amongst the top ten B schools in Mumbai by the Times Group (OMS).

On this momentous occasion, CA Sunil G. Karve, Hon. Chairman Governing Board at Kohinoor Education Trust (KET) spoke of the cutting-edge technology and pedagogy that the institute uses. “KBS management programmes consistently receive an overwhelming response from applicants and industry alike. We have seen a transformation in our students after we changed the curriculum structure to module-based trimester system. The faculty map a career progression path for our students while equipping them with industry knowledge. All this helps a student to enter the industry with confidence and result-orientation.” said Mr. Karve.

KBS is the only institute approved by AICTE to run MMS and PGDM to run under one umbrella making it one-of-its-kind integrated technical campus. Students begin their training with a module that aims to equalize the knowledge of all students. Industry experts from FMCG, banking, financial services, advertising, digital and social media etc. conduct interactive sessions thus laying the foundation for the programme.

Each module of PGDM consists of industry and research components. The experienced faculty is a combination of academia and industry professionals. The students also undergo a unique Industry Immersion Programme (IIP) that allows them to choose their professional paths.

In the light of India sprinting towards fulfilling Narendra Modi’s agenda for development, there is a need for quality professionals in the industry. KBS has taken up the mantle of shaping management students into employable and industry ready professionals.
