PhD (Nanotechnology & Science) at IIT Bombay

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has invited applications for admission to PhD Course in Nanotechnology & Science of Academic Year 2013-14. Eligibility for Admission First Class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC / ST) as specified in the General Eligibility Criterion for admission in this brochure in: i. MTech in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgical, Materials, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering, Energy Science and Engineering and Environmental Science and Engineering OR ii. MSc in Physics, Chemistry Biological and Environmental Sciences or Bachelors Degree in above mentioned Engineering Disciplines with valid GATE score or award of CSIR / UGC / DBT Research Fellowship or Inspire Fellowship from Govt. of India / DST. Applications The candidates who have not applied to PhD Programme of any academic units of IIT Bombay, fulfill the above mentioned eligibility criteria and the following “Requirements for short listing for written test and/or interview” may apply for PhD Programme in Nanotechnology and Science (NT). The application form can be downloaded from the website http://www.iitb.ac.in/academic/phd.jsp A “PDF copy” of the duly filled form should be submitted through an email to [email protected]. The subject heading of the email should be “PhD application for NT” and the email should contain the following information. 1. Name 2. Mobile No. / Telephone No. 3. Email A copy of the application, Statement of Purpose (SoP) and the scanned copy of required documents should be submitted as an attachment to the email. The last date for submission of PhD application by email is 27th April, 2013. These newly applied candidates are required to bring the copy of the PhD application along with the required documents and demand draft of 300/- (for GN / OBCNC) and 150/- (for SC / ST) drawn in favour of “Registrar, IIT Bombay”, payable at Mumbai branch at the time of written test and/or interview.
