Shiv Nadar University Opens Admissions for MBA 2017-18

New Delhi: Shiv Nadar University, India’s leading research driven, multidisciplinary university and reigning young University of the Year [FICCI Awards 2016], today announced admissions for its MBA program open. In addition to the existing iGlobal MBA Program and the Bachelor’s in Management Studies [BMS], the University is poised to launch a Ph.D. program in Management this year. The programs are being offered under the aegis of the School of Management and Entrepreneurship (SME) in the academic session commencing July, 2017.

The iGlobal MBA program, unveiled in 2016, was very well received in its inaugural year, and 48 students were selected from a large applicant pool. Designed by distinguished faculty from Shiv Nadar University, Harvard Business School, The Haas School of Business, U.C. Berkeley and IIM Calcutta, the program has many distinctive features designed to prepare students for global careers and entrepreneurial success.

Given the high demand for this course, the SME has broadened the eligibility criteria for students applying this year. The scholarships offered have been made more lucrative to attract high potential students and/or entrepreneurs with work-experience and well-developed business ideas.

All the postgraduate management programs from SME are specifically designed to ensure that students are equipped with the knowledge and competencies they need to flourish in the Digital Age anywhere they choose to live and work in the world. For example, the iGlobal MBA is benchmarked against the very best programs in the world; it provides opportunities for global exposure to students before they graduate via semesters abroad at prestigious partner universities, internships and projects, distinguished visiting faculty and a unique cross-cultural leadership curriculum.
Dr. Shubhro Sen, Director, School of Management and Entrepreneurship said, “Our program designs are centered on success in a technology disrupted, rapidly changing global business environment and the many exciting placement options available to those with the requisite training. The curriculum includes personalized strength assessments and coaching as well as the flexibility to develop deep specializations and career tracks in multiple high demand areas. With India’s GDP continuing to grow at one of the highest rates worldwide, the needs of the hour for India and especially India Inc. are management programs that are tightly aligned with evolving industry requirements. All SME programs are specifically designed to address that gap in a compelling and differentiated manner. A key USP is the multidisciplinary foundation and rich suite of electives available to MBA candidates. As such, students can acquire further depth in hot technology areas like big data and predictive analytics from one of our Schools of Engineering and Natural Sciences or take social science electives directly with scholars in our School of Humanities and Social Sciences.”
Apart from the existing programs, SME will offer a Ph.D program in Management this year, which will be intended for students and professionals seeking careers in academia, research institutions and consultancy. Being part of a multidisciplinary university with a strong focus on research, the SME’s Ph.D. program would also draw upon the strength of other Schools to develop a strong, analytical and rigorous core that would be attractive to doctoral students from within the country as well as other countries in the region. An Executive Ph.D. option will also be available for professionals who wish to continue working while pursuing a doctorate in Business Administration.
