Srusti Academy Conducts Workshops on Sustainable Digital Branding

Bhubaneswar: Srusti Academy of Management, a leading NAAC accredited ‘A’ Grade institute, has recently conducted a half-day workshop on Digital Marketing for Sustainable Brand Image here in the city. Prof Kamala Kanta Dash of Kalinga Kusum Foundation was invited as the Master Trainer of the workshop. Prof Dash touched upon a brief overview of the digital world, visibility in the digital world, opportunities and challenges in digital marketing and how best to create a sustainable brand image through the digital medium. He guided participants in making their social media profiles (LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook) informative, dynamic, strong on content and engaging. He also touched upon Wikipedia as a credible platform to engage.
Participants did learn useful tips on how to use LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Wikipedia, and Google+. Prof Dash requested everyone to pursue the very important digital marketing free course ‘Google Digital Unlock’ offered by Google in collaboration with FICCI and ISB. He further trained participants in Digital content development and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to help them in their personal online branding and digital reputation. He also shared a theory of funding/fund-raising that he is working on since his Ph.D. days at Monash University and developed during his community engagement work with Mr. Deepak Vinayak, a leading Indian-Australian community leader in Melbourne.
Apart from faculty members and students of Srusti, participants from nearby colleges and institutes also attended the workshop to learn more about digital branding. Srusti Advisory Committee Members Ms. Chaitali Mishra of Hari Telematics Private Ltd (HPTL) and Ms. Nidhi Garg of KIIT University also joined the workshop and shared their experience of sustainable branding. Legend Pictures joined as the official media partner to capture the moments during the workshop. From Legend Pictures Mr. Sameer, Mr. Somesh Kumar Pallai, Mr. Surya Teja Reddy joined to ensure live video recording, Facebook live and still photography.
MBA students Ms. Rituparna Nayak .and Ms. Prajanya Paramita Sahoo introduced the master trainer. Participants received certificates of participation after the Q&A and feedback session. Prof Sushobhit offered the vote of thanks and appreciated the initiatives and encouragement from Srusti Academy. Prof Sushobhit highlighted especially the inspiring leadership of Chairman Er Saroj Kumar Sahoo in spearheading a capacity development movement in Srusti.
It should be noted that Srusti Academy has started an Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Cell and a Digital Media (DM) Cell under the leadership of Prof Sushobhit. In the last week of April, the ED Cell had an important advisory committee meet to devise a strategic plan to streamline entrepreneurial energy of students and create a campus startup culture at Srusti. It was decided then to mentor ED Cell members in areas of digital marketing and promote the ED Cell both within and outside the Srusti Academy.
