Bengaluru, August 4, 2017 – Tata Technologies, a leading global provider of engineering services and manufacturing enterprise IT, today signed an MoU with seven colleges in Bengaluru and Mysore to offer the “Ready Engineering’ Program for the students. The initiative aims to improve the employability of engineers and reduce the time and resources spent by companies on re-training the graduate engineers.
According to the India Skills Report 2017, only two out of five candidates applying for jobs are employable. The employable population however has seen an increase due to the initiatives by the government and the industry. Tata Technologies’ ‘Ready Engineer’ program identifies 3rd & 4th year Mechanical Engineering students from colleges to be part of this unique training. The program imparts application based training by industry experts, in the Design Engineering domain and CAD tools hosted on Tata Technologies learning tool i GET IT®.

PES University, Bengaluru
Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bengaluru
JSS University, Mysore
National College of Engineering, Mysore
Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur

Speaking of the association, Prof. K N Subramanya, Principal, R V College of Engineering said, “We are very happy to associate with Tata Technologies for conducting training programs in Automotive Technologies for the students of Mechanical, Electronics and allied branches. RVCE would like to introduce the course as a part of curriculum with practical and experiential learning. Credits will also be given to students. We are happy to associate with faculty and students of other institutions to promote and create body of knowledge along with rich experience of experts from Tata Technologies.”
KRACKIN Technologies, a start-up based out of the NASSCOM 10000 Startup warehouse, Bangalore has been selected as the implementation partners for this program. The KRACKIN platform helps improve the industry-readiness of engineering students with right industry interventions through their web and mobile platforms.
The classroom model which started with one college in Pune in 2010 has since been expanded successfully in various colleges across the country. The program is already operational in 27 affiliated colleges in India and thousands of students have already benefited from this program.
