TERI School of Advanced Studies organizing India’s first-of-its-kind national youth event ‘Climate Jamboree’

New Delhi: ‘TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS)’ is organizing India’s first-of-its-kind national youth event ‘Climate Jamboree’, with a mission to create a youth-based movement for effective transformative climate changes. It comprises a series of lead up events running till November 2018, culminating at a Grand Finale that will be witnessed by key policy makers, global laureates, Climate Change experts and over 10,000 students.
Climate Jamboree is an event to connect the youth and relevant stakeholders from India and across the world to drive climate action. The aim is to foster an environment of learning, ideation and collaboration by focusing on issues of sustainability. The idea is to seek to create empathy with the issue of climate change and urge ownership of solutions, especially as India, being the Chair of the Conference of Parties for Climate Change (COP) has committed its active engagement through all stakeholders including youth, on the historic to the Paris Agreement on World Environment Day in June 2018.
