University of Essex announces scholarships worth up to £100,000 for Essex Business School’s MBA program

Delhi: University of Essex, a gold rated institution in UK’s Teaching Excellence Framework and University of the Year 2018 has announced scholarships worth £100,000 for Essex Business School’s MBA program commencing October 2019.

Essex Business School (EBS) is currently ranked in the UK’s top 20 (Chartered Association of Business Schools). With both undergraduate and postgraduate courses on offer, students here learn from world-leading academics and practitioners, solving real-world business challenges.More than 2000 students from across 130 countries are studying at EBS including around 300 postgraduates.

Essex Business School is offering scholarships worth up to £100,000 to students who are funding their own MBA studies starting October 2019. Two students will be offered 100% scholarship worth £19,500 [approx. Rs 18 Lakhs] each, two students will be offered 50% scholarship worth £9,750 [approx. Rs 9 Lakhs] each and further scholarships of £3,000 [approx. Rs 2.7Lakhs] wavier on tuition fees will also be available.

With an aim to support entrepreneurship and allow students and young professionals in India a chance to equip themselves to pursue their start up ideas, UoE is organising a ‘Shark Tank’ event in Bangalore on 24th May 2019. Applicants from across India are being invited to pitch their ideas to an elite panel of ‘sharks’ from EBS including Professor Nicolas Forsans, MBA Director at EBS.

The winner of ‘Shark Tank’: The Essex MBA India edition will win a 100% scholarship for the full-time Essex MBA programmes for October 2019 entry. The Essex MBA is a one-year full-time, internationally recognised postgraduate qualification for professionals who have a minimum of three years of relevant, post-graduation work experience

Speaking on the ‘Shark Tank’ event, Professor Nicolas Forsans added, “I’ll be looking for the passion, energy and positivity that we expect of our MBA students at the University of Essex. My MBA sharks and I are looking forward to meeting Indian entrepreneurs and learning about their businesses.”

Applicants for the MBA scholarship will be required to be fully self-funding their studies. The applicants will also have to meet the English requirements for the course they have selected and meet a minimum academic score.
