Virtusa participates as associate title sponsor at Shaastra 2018
New Delhi: Virtusa Corporation, a global business consulting and IT outsourcing company today announced that it will be the associate title sponsor of Shaastra 2018, an annual technical fest of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai. The event will be held in January from 4-7th at the IIT Madras campus, this year.
Speaking on Virtusa’s role at the event, Dr. Murali Padmanabhan, India Head – Talent management, said “Virtusa is delighted to be the associate title sponsor for the biggest inter-college fest in Asia. Events like these encourage the spirit of innovation amongst the budding engineers by providing an opportunity to gain a business perspective of technology. Virtusa aims to engage and connect with the talent pool across IITs in India and will hire close to 50 students for their new Fintech lab facility. At the fest, Virtusa will showcase its Commercially Viable Products (CVPs) in emerging technologies, which were developed and co-created with its clients at its Fintech Lab facility. This initiative will also help students to better understand new age technologies like Data Science, Blockchain, and RegTech Platform which colleges do not have in their curriculum presently.
