Winners of The Park Elle Décor Student Contest felicitated at India Design ID 2018

New Delhi: The Park Hotels, pioneers of luxury boutique hotels in India, in collaboration with Elle Décor India organized ‘The Park Elle Décor Student Contest’, for the sixth consecutive year. The contest aims to promote young designers in the country and gives them an opportunity to work with prominent design icons and industry stalwarts.

The winners get a certificate and an opportunity to get a firm foothold in the design industry by showcasing their creations at India Design ID 2018, one of the paramount platforms for the new generation of designers. This year, the winners for the first time will be mentored under the following luxury designers and innovative brands – Architect and Celebrity Interior designer Ashiesh Shah; Rooshad Shroff Architecture + Design; and the leading designer innovator Sarita Handa.

India Design ID 2018 is India’s most definitive design week, where leading minds from the Indian and International design fraternity converge for engaging design dialogues. Ever-evolving, The Park Hotels being at the helm of design, prides itself on being the Strategic Design Partners of India Design ID 2018 for the sixth consecutive year.

The Park Elle Decor Student Contest welcomed entries across categories- (1) architecture, (2) interior design, (3) product design and (4) textiles. To participate, students are nominated by their college HOD/Dean or send in their creations independently.

The entries are shortlisted and the competition is judged by an eminent jury panel comprising the stalwarts of design – Priya Paul (Chairperson, Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Pvt. Ltd.), Pramiti Madhavji (Editorial and Content Director of Elle Decor India, Ogaan Media), Ranjan Bordoloi (The Park Elle Decor Student Award finalist and a multidisciplinary designer based in Guwahati, Assam), Ria Talati (a Mumbai-based interior architect) and Romi Khosla (New Delhi-based architect).
