Xavier University, Bhubaneswar organized second National Conference on Accounting and Finance

Bhubaneswar: The Xavier School of Commerce, Xavier University, Bhubaneswar, organized the second National Conference on Accounting and Finance, on February 23rd, 2018. The theme for the same was “Commerce in Digitised India”. The conference was graced by several stalwarts who chaired the sessions and gave their valuable inputs on the topic. Spread across four sessions, the conference saw wide participation from students as well as professors of the institute.

The speakers for the day were – Mr. DP Harichandran, founding member at Kotak Life, he has also set up several departments in Kotak Life insurance and has headed the central processing centre, audit & risk management and business retention; Prof. Sunil Gandhi, Chartered Accoutant and Professor of Accounting & Finance at University of Kalyani, West Bengal; Prof. Sharmistha Banerjee, professor of Business Management at the University of Calcutta; Mr. Mohammed Hanif, professor at IIFT Kolkata and Prof. Ranjan Kumar Bal, he has been a dean of Utkal University, Chairman of Board of Studies in Commerce and Head of PG Department in Utkal University.

Mr. Gautam Roy was the Guest of Honour for the conference. He has a great working experience in areas like retail banking & personal banking. He is currently working as the Deputy General Manager with SBI. The conference concluded with a round of paper presentations, evaluated by the faculty of Xavier University.
