100 beds capacity in district Covid hospital- 65 supported by oxygen plant rest with cylinders: DC samba

 

Samba: In wake of Covid-19 pandemic administration samba has designated District Hospital as dedicated Covid-19 hospital for better, efficient and effective treatment of serious Covid-19 patients.

The hospital has been provided with a state-in-art oxygen manufacturing plant with 1000 LPM capacity, informed Deputy Commissioner Anuradha Gupta here at a press conference.

While elaborating on medical facilities and services, she said that in wake of the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic district administration has designated the 100 bedded district hospital as Covid-19 hospital. The district hospital has a 1000 LPM capacity oxygen plant which provides oxygen to 65 beds while the remaining 35 beds are supported with oxygen cylinders. The DC said that in addition to 100 bedded district hospital samba an additional block of District Hospital samba has also been primed with upto 40 beds of Covid-19 patients with oxygen cylinders facility. “District Hospital Samba has a stock of 26 D-type oxygen cylinders, 37 B-type oxygen cylinders and 25 oxygen concentrators of which 10 have a high flow oxygen facility” added the DC.

Elaborating further, she said that AH Ghagwal, CHC Ramgarh, ESIC Bari Brahmana having Covid-19 oxygen supported beds are also kept in backend support for as and when required for sharing high load of patients. She said that there was no shortage of oxygen supported beds in the district. “In addition to this, the administration has created a facility of Covid care centres with more than 400 bed capacity” added DC samba.

She further informed that the district administration has established a dedicated Covid helpline centre operating 24/7. She urged the public not to hide sickness and immediately contact helpline numbers for early medical intervention for saving their precious life.
