11 Govt Teachers enroll wards in Govt Schools at Pattan

Baramulla: As part of ongoing Community Mobilization Programme by Education Department Baramulla, over 11 Govt teachers today enrolled their children in govt run schools during a function organized in GMS Hamray, Pattan.

The programme was started with an aim to educate different stakeholders about various facilities being provided to students in govt schools besides renewing efforts to enhance enrollment ratio in these institutions.

Chief Education Officer Baramulla G M Lone presided over the function in which PRIs, civil society members among other prominent sections of the society participated.

Speaking on the occasion, the CEO informed that over 19000 new admissions have been registered during the current academic session 2020-21 in various government schools across the district. He added that out of these admissions, over 5000 are those who were previously enrolled in different private educational institutions.

He also informed that a survey has been launched wherein different parameters viz drop out ratio, out of school proportion among other vital aspects are being ascertained. Moreover, the CEO reiterated that administration is committed to impart qualitative education to the students.

Meanwhile, a felicitation ceremony was organized during which meritorious students who excelled at various levels, were felicitated among which some awards were distributed at the event.
