12 Days long Skill Development Training programme inaugurated at ITI Shopian

 

SHOPIAN : The District Development Council (DDC), Member, Raja Waheed today inaugurated the 12 days Skill Development Training programme organised by Jammu and Kashmir National Rural Livelihood Mission (JK-NRLM) (Umeed) Shopian in collaboration with Skill Development Department at ITI Shopian, here.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Member impressed upon the trainers of the institution to impart quality training to these SHGs so that they can earn livelihood on their own. He asked the trainees to take the benefit of various skill development schemes as the Government is meant to enhance skill and training which will enable them to find job avenues manifold.

DDC, Member said that the Government is putting much focus on skill development programmes and employment generation schemes so that the unemployed youth can stand on their own and become job creators instead of job seekers. He said that God helps those who help themselves and the need of the hour is to work tirelessly with dedication to create employment avenues for themselves and as well as for others.

Superintendent ITI said that goal is to deliver quality skill training to the SHGs to enable them to establish their own income generating ventures after achieving proper training through various institutions of the district.

The Programme was attended by Superintendent, ITI Shopian, Javaid Hussain, District Programme Manager, NRLM, Shopian, Uzma Mehraj, Block Programme Manager, NRLM, Rayees Ahmed and other officers.
