12th Edition of Two-Day Indian Management Conclave Inaugurated at IIM Kozhikode; Ram Nath Kovind to Give Valedictory Address on Concluding Day
Kozhikode : The 12th Indian Management Conclave (IMC) hosted by IIM Kozhikode and organised by MBA Universe.com was inaugurated, here today. The IMC is India’s definitive annual Management Education Conference & Awards Platform and it was inaugurated jointly by Mr Shyam Srinivasan, MD & CEO, Federal Bank; Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director IIM Kozhikode; Dr Nilanjan Sen, Dean, School of Business, University of Albany (New York) and Mr Amit Agnihotri, Founder & Convenor IMC.
More than 30 national/international Speakers from academia, industry, leading B-schools and corporate leaders to brainstorm over MC 2022 Theme is “Measuring MBA Outcomes over the course of the two day conclave (9-10 Dec) which has 150 member delegates attending the event. The Conclave will proudly host, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Hon’ble Former President of India, to give the valedictory address and present the awards for excellence in management education on 10th December.
In his inaugural address, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, welcomed the delegates to IIM Kozhikode which is hosting the event for the first time ever. He spoke about the importance of learning from the significance of miss-measuring the MBA outcomes in order to create a new all-encompassing world view which is rooted in a strong framework and clear fundamentals. He encouraged the member delegates, representatives of the academia and the leading schools of the country to deliberate on ideas which will help India grow and achieve its Vision 2047 of a strong, resurgent and self-reliant nation full of innovators, entrepreneurs and dreamers. Crediting IIMK’s remarkable success in the sphere of management education globally, he shared the mantra of Satyam (Authenticity), Nityam (Sustainability) and Purnam (wholeness) as a holistic path to excellence for b-schools.
Mr Shyam Srinivasan, speaking from his rich experience of learning from a top b-school shared the practioner’s viewpoint on measuring the MBA outcomes. Drawing from his personal experiences he shared rich lessons on the positive impact of people focussing on social good as the ultimate outcome of their efforts. He also underlined how organisations must work towards contributing to a rich organisational culture to help young, raw MBA graduates to turn into polished human beings grounded in value system.
Dr Nilanjan Sen shared his thoughts on the impact and evolution of MBA and the importance of creating a thriving network to succeed in professional as well as personal life. Earlier, Mr Amit Agnihotri gave the welcome address and captured the journey of IMC since its inception in 2010.
The two-day Conclave concludes on 10th December 2022 with the hon’ble former president of India’s valedictory address.
