160 Ph.D Research Scholars batch commences at Amity University

New Delhi: The Registration cum Orientation Programme for Ph.D scholars of Jan 2021 Batch commenced at Amity University today with the ceremonial ‘Hawan’ to seek blessings of the Almighty. 160 students were selected for this batch of January 2021 for various streams in management, engineering, physical education, travel and tourism etc.

Dr. (Mrs.) Balvinder Shukla., Vice-Chancellor, Amity University, along with directors and officers of various institutions, following the prescribed Covid-19 rules and standards, wished the students a pleasant and bright future.

Welcoming the students, Dr. Shukla shared that they are the first batch to visit the campus post the lockdown and this happiness can be felt by everyone present. She stated that both students and faculty members help create a positive atmosphere at the university. She also averred that Amity has been trying to do its bit and contribute through various research initiatives to find solutions to local and global issues & to help the country attain greater heights.

She pointed out that research is an integral part of the vision of Amity to make India a Knowledge Superpower. She called upon the scholars to conduct the highest quality of research and be totally committed to gain research outcome that will add value to the nation and society.

Students were informed about the course curriculum, rules and other procedural information was shared with them during the orientation programme. The ceremony was also attended by several faculty members Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Pandey, Jt. Sajnani, Dean Faculty of Hospitality & Tourism, Director, Amity Institute of Travel & Tourism and others.
