17 Himachal government schools will be develop as model schools, MoU signed: DC
Dharamshala: An Aadhaar Shila project will be started in 17 government schools in Kangra district to be developed as a model school with better educational facilities. In this regard, the REC Foundation has signed a MoU with the district administration. Under this project, an amount of 38 million will be spent by REC Foundation.
Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati said that one primary school will be selected in each education block while one high school and one senior secondary school will be selected in Dharamshala City . In the selected primary schools, the concerned sub-divisional officer SDM , will devote at least three hours every week for the educational improvement of the children and will also guide the students in these schools, besides ensuring public participation for it .
Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati said that he will himself monitor the educational improvement in selected high schools and senior secondary schools in Dharamshala section. He informed that academicians and intellectuals of the society and experts of various disciplines of the area will also be connected to these institutions.
He said that under Adharshila project, provision will also be made for construction of smart class room, building repair, library, laboratory and math lab in these selected schools so that children can get better educational environment. He said that training workshops of teachers of selected schools will also be organized in which information about new techniques of teaching will be provided.
The MoU was signed today at Dharamshala by Dr. SN Srinivas, CEO of REC Foundation and Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati. Director Technical Education SK Gupta and Ajay Chaudhary ED Finance of REC were also present on the occasion.
