19, 377 Graduands receive their Degrees and Diplomas during “17th Convocation 2021” at Amity University

New Delhi: Amity University organized its “17th Convocation 2021” in Hybrid mode where a total of 19,377 Graduands received their degrees, diplomas and certificates. These students have graduated from Amity University campuses at Noida, Lucknow, Dubai and Tashkent.

 

On this occasion, Padma Shri Awardee, Shri Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder, Naukri.com and Prof. Adam Tickell, Designate Vice Chancellor, University of Birmingham, UK were conferred upon Honorary Doctorates by Amity University.

 

In his acceptance speech, Shri Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder, Naukri.com, said, “I thank Amity University and Dr. Ashok Chauhan for this honor bestowed upon me today. My achievements are the result of the efforts of my team and my team is responsible for my success. The people in the organizations have a major role to play in its success. In order to be successful, some important attributes are required. First is the ability to be resilient and never give up. Secondly, winning comes from practice and working hard, industriousness is really important. Do your job with complete commitment and sincerity and keep learning to become better and last but not the least, approach others with humility and respect.”

 

Accepting the honorary Doctorate from Amity University, Prof. Adam Tickell, Designate Vice Chancellor, University of Birmingham, UK, stated, “I feel extremely honoured to receive the Honorary Doctorate form Amity University. The University of Birmingham has provided education to many Alumni from India, some of the most distinguished and finest minds from India were educated at the University of Birmingham. We are one of the most engaged universities with India and have an extensive range of partnerships with India for various projects. Our relationship with Amity University is very important to us and it is going from strength to strength with recent agreements in different fields. There is a great potential for further strengthening the collaboration between University of Birmingham and Amity University, in various areas including Data Science, Supply Chain Management and Materials, amongst others. As we emerge into a different world post the pandemic, we need to further work on diverse strategic partnerships to emerge stronger. I would like to congratulate all the Amity Graduands and I’m sure that the Degree from Amity University will lead you towards a very bright future.”

Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group congratulated the Amity Alumnus & the Graduating students along with their families on receiving their Degrees and Diplomas. Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh congratulated all the graduating students along with their families and faculty members. He apprised that Amity has nurtured the students to be the most dedicated, loyal and honest professionals who are provided with the best professional education along with high values and morals. Dr. Chauhan urged the Graduands to stay humble, have humanity and help those in need.

 

Highlighting the pioneering accomplishments of Amity University in the previous academic year, Dr. (Prof.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said, “Amity has been rewriting and reshaping the educational benchmark under the visionary leadership and mentorship of our Founder President, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan. Our students should keep moving forward and keep the Amity flag flying high by following his footsteps.” She congratulated all the Graduands and wished them success in their future endeavors.

 

During the convocation, a total of 9,469 Graduands from Agriculture & Allied Disciplines; Engineering & Technology; Bio Sciences & Biotechnology; Architecture, Planning & Interior Design; Science & Technology; Natural Resources & Environmental Sciences; Education; Rehabilitation Sciences; Health & Allied Sciences; Polytechnic and ADDOE received their Degrees and Diplomas. A total of 189 students received their PhD degrees and 20 “All Rounder Achievement” Trophies were given away. 129 gold medals, 128 silver medals, 63 bronze medals were awarded to the meritorious students. Also, 71 students were bestowed with Shri Baljit Shastri Award for Best in Human & Traditional Values. 2 students were awarded Corporate Awards in a unique online ceremony that was attended by thousands of students along with their families across the globe.

 

Muskaan Arora, a student of Amity Institute of Biotechnology, said, “Today, I feel so elated to receive my Degree from Amity University and feel extremely proud of being an Amitian. My three years at Amity have been great and full of learning and new experiences. I’m grateful to all my teachers and the faculty of Amity for providing me their support, encouragement, guidance and mentorship.”
