1st Anniversary of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Celebrated

Aligarh : The department of Economics, AMU, celebrated the 1st Anniversary of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by organising four online competitions. The celebrations began with the speech competition on Start-ups followed by Poster Making Competition on Start-ups, Slogan Writing Competition on Indian Freedom Struggle and ended with Poster Making Competition on Intellectual Property Rights.A large number of students of the Department participated in these competitions.

Prof Md. Abdus Salam, Chairman, Department of Economics, AMU, said that it is indeed a matter of great pride that the country is celebrating 75 years of Independence and the Department of Economics is also part of these celebrations.

The winners of the Online Speech Competition on Start-ups are-Vastavi Sharma (I st prize), Md Taslim Khan and Himanshu Yadav (IInd Prize) and Syed Taha Mueen and Sangeeta Khatri (IIIrd Prize). In Poster Making Competition on Start-ups, Nida Khan won Ist Prize while Deepak Pundir and Abu Talha won IInd and IIIrd prizes respectively.

The winners of Slogan Writing Competition on the theme Indian Freedom Struggle are Md Taslim Khan who won Ist Prize, Nida Khan & Deepak Pundir bagged IInd Prize while Mohammad Rizwan Ghaznavi won IIIrd prize.

Lastly, in Poster Making Competition on Intellectual Property Rights, the winners are Abdullah Ayaz (Ist Prize), Md Arbab Alam and Abu Talha (II nd Prize), Deepak Pundir (IIIrd Prize).

These online competitions were organized by Prof Md. Abdus Salam and Dr Shirin Rais, Department of Economics was the convener of the event.
